Course Packet PLEASE NOTE: Students have a limited printing allocation (1,000 pages/year) before they must pay for printing themselves. Please provide course materials on paper, in class or via course packets, as it is less expensive and more cost effective to have materials photocopied than it is for each individual to print on local printers. If there is material that the entire class will need, they should be provided the copies versus printing them individually. Many of our faculties require students to purchase Course Packets - available on site in Center Sage. Course Packets evolved as a solution, a means by which faculty could customize their class materials without requiring students to assemble and purchase inordinate numbers of books and case studies. In a competitive and rapidly changing business environment the need for relevant, up-to-date materials has never been more important. Course Packet Request Course Packet materials must be submitted at least five weeks prior to the start of classes to allow adequate lead-time in obtaining the necessary copyright permissions, etc. The Cornell Campus Store, using Hi-speed digital printing, produces the Course Packets and can reprint on-demand within 24 hours. The initial print quantity is based on past sales histories, other required texts for the same class and price. The industry average for leftover packets is 12 to 14%. The Store under prints slightly and then prints on-demand because unsold packets cost approximately $20,000 each semester. Reprint orders are filled within 24 hours. For case studies, please see Case Studies. All Course Packets should be accompanied by a bibliography which includes the following information for each article:
