Jobs requiring basic education and little or no developed skills or experience; immediate work orientation given; may involve use of simple equipment and machines for standardized work. |

B Band | Secretary/Word Processing Operator/Office Assistant | Jobs requiring secondary (or equivalent) education and some developed basic skills which can be immediately applied to the job; may involve use of specialized equipment. |

C Band | Administrative Aide/Technical Typist | Jobs requiring secondary (or equivalent) education and firmly developed skills and abilities which have been seasoned by previous work experience and which may involve the use of more complex, specialized equipment. Also includes jobs requiring some specialized coursework and training beyond secondary education. |

Band | Programmer/Research Support Specialist/Editor/ Executive Staff Assistant/Teaching Support Specialist | Jobs requiring advanced knowledge and abilities gained through special training or development and which require a grasp of either involved practices and precedents, or of scientific or administrative theory and practice, or both; some experience required. |
