Professional Development The School continues to encourage professional development for both overtime pay eligible (OPE/hourly) and overtime pay ineligible (OPI/salaried) employees. The University offers many career development and educational opportunities as does the local community. Attendance at programs offered by the University or other local programs is preferred. A list of courses can be found at http://www.ohr.cornell.edu/careerDev/workshops/. In addition, the School arranges workshops and invites speakers to Cornell from all over the country in cooperation with the Leadership Skills Program. If there are particular topics of interest, employees are encouraged to contact the Administrative Service Center and make that information known. If there is sufficient interest, the Administrative Service Center will try to accommodate any and all requests. In the Fall of 2002, the School adopted a new policy - the Johnson School Undergraduate Degree Tuition Aid Benefit. This program encourages employees to pursue their undergraduate degree, enhances what the University offers in the way of Tuition Reimbursement (see Tuition Aid Program) and re-enforces the School's commitment to professional development.
