Whether
we are welcoming you as a new faculty member, or one we have been fortunate to
have at the School for some time, the information provided within the following
links will hopefully address most of your basic questions about the School and
your employment.
Links
to scheduling of exams, course evaluations, the Johnson School's grading system
and additional information (over and above what you might have received prior
to physically coming to Cornell) about course packets are included as well
as is information about the availability of copies of exams and syllabi in the
Management Library. There is information to assist you in maneuvering through
Cornell's bureaucracy and as at any institution, specific regulations to which
we must adhere. If you need to hire a TA or RA, or are in need of
editorial services, as examples, there are specific procedures to follow. The

The
Center sets its priorities to support the School's plan as it
provides leadership and service in the areas of employment, employee relations,
leadership, rewards and recognition and human resources management information.
To meet these goals, the Administrative Service Center offers a number of support, management,
development, consultative and employee assistance services for faculty and staff

Coordinated through the Office of the Associate Dean of Academic Affairs, this link provides guidelines and recommendations for the promotion of faculty, including tenure-track, lecturers and senior lecturers. The information provided also contains guidelines for professorial promotion recommendations.
An appeals process is also available at any stage in the promotion process for promotion to Associate Professor and promotion to Full Professor. Classroom Scheduling - Please contact js_room@cornell.edu or call the Johnson School's Registrar's Office at (607) 255-9395. Also, to learn about Classroom Services, Occupancy, Code of Conduct governing classroom usage, etc., please go to SAGE HALL FACILITIES USAGE POLICY.
Classroom Support - Technology Services operates a classroom technology support office for faculty teaching in Sage Hall. Call the Help Desk at (607) 255-6300 for any of your needs, including training and technical support. The Facilities Office, B16, Sage Hall, can assist with card access, extra chairs, etc.

Course Syllabi - The Management Library has an extensive collection of old course
syllabi. Faculty are asked to submit two copies of their course syllabi to the
Management Library at the beginning of each semester. One copy is made available
at the Circulation Desk. In recent years many faculty have made their syllabi
available on course web pages.
Exam Scheduling - Old exams and solutions are considered individual faculty property. The Management Library only has paper copies of old exams and solutions that faculty have deposited. Many faculty are now making old exams and solutions available through their course web page.

Teaching Awards - Administrative Services offers information, descriptions and nomination information for faculty on the most recent award recipients and details about past recepients and individual award eligibility, and more. Faculty Policy Committee - The Faculty Policy Committee is the elected group whose responsibility is to advise the administrative officials of the School on policy matters. Mentoring Guidelines for Assistant Professors - This program is NOT an evaluative function, but is intended to be supportive. The purpose is to increase the chance of success for new faculty and increase their value to the School.
