Use
of Cornell Name and Artwork
(Logos,
Marks, Insignia)
Cornell, like most major colleges and universities, has a licensing program that regulates the use of its marks (i.e., names, trademarks, insignia, logos, images, etc.) on items such as T-shirts, caps, key chains, mugs, pens, etc. The application form for obtaining permission must be submitted with a copy of the design (for which approval is being sought) to the Cornell University Student Activities Office. This form and additional information is available at: http://sao.cornell.edu/so/logo.php. Student groups using Johnson School marks must also have their design approved by the Johnson School Student Activities and Special Events Office, 106 Sage Hall, prior to requesting approval from the University.
