Community Outreach Committee of the Cornell Club of NY

The Community Outreach Committee is here to serve you in two primary ways:

  1. As an information source for alumni volunteers; and
  2. To assist local alumni groups in increasing volunteer turnout at events.

Whether you are the organizer or a volunteer, this web site is here to help you!  E-mail the Community Outreach Committee for more information about opportunities to volunteer or to list your event in our newsletter.

The MBA Corps, a strategic partner of the Johnson School Club of New York, matches volunteer consultants with meaningful pro bono business consulting projects that support asset-depleted, economically distressed neighborhoods.  (One does not need an MBA to participate.)  The MBA Corps, a 501(c)(3) corporation, mobilizes MBAs and other professionals to engage in community economic development.  The MBA Corps allows communities access, which they would otherwise not have, to the type of MBAs that consult to Fortune 500 companies.  The MBA Corps also helps small business access capital that enables them to grow.

The MBA Corps is looking for business professionals to provide consulting services to small business owners in low income communities in the greater Metro NY area.  By volunteering your time on a specific project with pre-defined time requirements, you can be the economic catalyst to spark job creation in low income communities.

For more Information go to the MBA Corps’ web site, e-mail, or call Joe DeBono at (917) 579-6612
