Student focus: Gear up for the holidays We invite you to check out some of the new Johnson School logo merchandise available from your alma mater. Place your order at http://www.jsoutfitters.com. Johnson School Outfitters is a student-run enterprise that allows current MBA students to run a small business, with proceeds benefiting Johnson student activities. Plan now for this summer's Camp $tart-Up The Johnson School will hold its third-annual Camp $tart-Up® program this summer from July 3 - 10. Camp $tart-Up is an interactive business and leadership training experience for teen women ages 14-19. This annual event is organized and run by four Johnson School second-year women using the curriculum designed by Independent Means, Inc., the leading provider of education for girls' financial independence. The camp is specifically designed to build our future pipeline of women business leaders by raising young women's interest in business and exposing them to the type of opportunities that exist for them in the business world. Camp participants will learn how to write a business plan, meet successful women in business, and receive instruction on business and leadership skills. Classroom learning is balanced with field trips, interactive group activities, business simulation games, and fun! Camp $tart-Up was
first organized at the Johnson School as a Park Project by four alumni
in the Class of 2002: Erin Edwards, Diane Fleck, Cory Murphy, and Beth
Watson. All Johnson School alumni are highly encouraged to promote this
program to any and all young women they may know, i.e. daughters, nieces,
friends, students, neighbors, etc. Limited scholarships are available.
For more information about Camp $tart-Up, please visit: www.johnson.cornell.edu/owmb/campstartup.
