Past Event:  “The Cat's Meow — Opening and Managing a Niche Veterinary Practice”

Cat

On April 7, 2005, Dr. Eileen R. Adamo '93, DVM '97 delivered a fascinating talk about the business aspects of running a veterinary practice.  The event was co-sponsored by alumni of both the Johnson School and the Cornell College of Veterinary Medicine.  Dr. Adamo and her business partner, Dr. Mary Lummis '81, DVM '85, are the co-owners of The Cat Doctors, a local veterinary practice.

This free event was well-attended and featured a lively discussion between the MBAs and the DVMs.  The evening started with cocktails and hors d'oeuvres, followed by Dr. Adamo's lecture, and then the question-and-answer discussion with the audience.  Finally, Dr. Adamo was presented with a small gift.

By all accounts this event was a great success, as the veterinarians and the business people found common interests to discuss.
