On and Off-Campus Recruiting

I want to congratulate so many of you who are connecting with alumni and other contacts, obtaining interviews in a tough job market. It has been gratifying to hear about your successes.

On-Campus Recruiting
Interviewing on campus begins this week. The following tips are intended as a last minute refresher and are what I hear most often from recruiters when they provide feedback:
-Have at least 2 PAR examples ready for the top skills desired by that company.
-Be very clear about your short-term and long-term career goals
-Without being arrogant, offer your responses with confidence and persuasiveness
Remember to check in at the front desk to double check on the room location and the name of the interviewer. There is zero tolerance for "no-shows".
Good luck!

Off-Campus Recruiting
The CMC web page Navigation Bar, Off-Campus Job Search link, http://www.johnson.cornell.edu/career/off-campus.html provides a brief list of resources to help you progress in your off-campus search. And, if you want an off-campus Career Coach send me an email and we will make sure you get a match.

Best, Karin
