We are all hearing of friends, alumni, former colleagues who have lost their jobs in the last 6 monts. It seems the news has been worse since the start of January. Yet, students are still getting job offers. Companies, while hiring fewer in number than last year, continue to tell us they cannot afford to have an empty pipeline. Even though they are laying off experienced workers they know they have to bring on new talent if they are to be sustainable.
