*********If you are unable to get your text into the boxes, type please see attachement into boxes, hit submit and then attach the SAMPLE ENTRY FORM (http://www.johnson.cornell.edu/brv/bicinfo.html) as the "added file" ***********
1) Enter your entry into a word document first, so that if the page doesn't load or save you will not loose all of your work.
2) After you finish submitting, make sure you received the message "Record Successfully Added". If you are unsure, please log back in and check that your application is there under "My Application."
3) If you have already registered using this system, your username is your email address.
4) If you can't upload your business idea the first time, log back in, go to "homepage", then "view list of contests", then "participate" (bottom right). If you are still having problems submitting please contact gmg25@cornell.edu (Gwen Graziano).
5) The application has a 7500 CHARACTER count (or 2 pages) if you are getting an error message and you are certain you are under the limit, log out, back in and try to copy and paste your content back in again
6) You can upload any file attachment after you hit submit on the online application.
7) If you cant get it to work on the browser you are using. Try a different browser and log back in
8) This year you will have a unique opportunity to view feedback for your plans by logging back into your application page. After you receive notification of whether you have progressed to the finals, log back in and click on Show Chart.

The BR Ventures Business Idea Competition provides a way for entrepreneurs to take their first step toward turning an idea into a viable business. Entry is free for Cornell-affiliated individuals, including alumni. Entry Teams will take their ideas, develop them and submit them to a panel of judges. The Entry Teams that submit the best Business Ideas will present their Business Idea before BR Ventures and judges from the venture capital community on April 10, 2008. This year you will have a unique opportunity to view feedback for your plans by logging back into your application page. After you receive notification of whether you have progressed to the finals, log back in and click on Show Chart.
