Sales & Trading
"The Old Ezra Finance Club was an integral part of my education on
finance careers and preparation for technical finance interviews. As a
former military officer, I had neither a finance background nor a firm
understanding of different careers on Wall Street. Through club meetings
and classes taught by officers and second year members, I was able to
build a firm understanding of Wall Street culture, day-to-day operations
and attributes of different finance careers. The Club also provided an
invaluable mentorship program, which teamed me with a successful second
year that conducted mock interviews, resume reviews and provided firm-specific
knowledge that was invaluable for during the process. The Old Ezra Finance
Club was among the single most important resources that allowed me to
make a successful transition from an Army Officer to a summer internship
in Sales & Trading."

"The Old Ezra Finance Club proved to be one of my most valuable
resources in preparing for an intense job search. The Club catered to
a broad spectrum of interests by providing a series of presentations that
outlined different career paths within finance. As the first semester
progressed, and I began to pursue Sales & Trading positions, The Club
offered guidance very specific to my search. Multiple times per week the
club held presentations on investment banks that I encountered during
the interview process. The firm-focused presentations were a great way
to become familiar with key contacts, firm cultures and the underlying
themes driving the banks. In addition to organized lectures and presentations,
the club maintains a network of alumni who were always willing to offer
insight, share stories and offer support. I plan to stay involved with
The Club during my second year and beyond to offer future Johnson students
the same guidance that was given to me."

"The Old Ezra Finance Club was the single most valuable tool for
me in landing an investment banking summer internship. The Club's officers
and second year members are focused on one thing: HELPING STUDENTS FIND
JOBS. The Club helps students learn about finance careers, the companies
that recruit at The Johnson School and helps us build the network we need
with alumni to land the job we want. This Cub definitely is one of the
very special things about the finance community at The Johnson School."

"The Old Ezra Finance Club was an incredible resource to gain
insight into different career related topics, from corporate briefings
etiquette to cover letters and interview preparation. Second year students
involved in the club played a key role in our recruiting process by transmitting
to us their first hand advice. One of the club's initiatives, the Corporate
Finance Mentorship Program, really made a difference in the way I approached
firms. The personalized guidance of a student that had just been through
the entire process was invaluable. How would I describe my experience
with The Old Ezra Finance? It is simply one of the best resources at The
Johnson School for preparing students for a successful career in finance."

"The Old Ezra Finance Club definitely is one of the best and most
insightful resources at The Johnson School in preparing students for finance
careers. Coming in to business school, I was not sure what finance career
path would fit me best. One-on-one mentorship with a second year student
with the same interest and background helped me tailor my career goal.
The Club also provides continuous guidance on how to successfully navigate
informational interviews, how to write the best cover letter and resume,
and how to excel on formal interviews. Great examples of The Club's resources
and initiatives include the Formal Interview Guide (a compilation of interview
questions for different companies) and mock interviews conducted by second
year students. The Old Ezra Finance Club is committed to providing members
with educational and career development opportunities within the realm
of finance and it listens to its members to continuously improve the organization."

"The Old Ezra Finance Club helped me during the job search process
in two major ways. First, it helped me figure out which finance career
path most matched my interests and skill set and, second, provided practical
information about how to get the job I wanted. This consisted of everything
from one-on-one practice interviews to presentations by officers and second
year members on networking and cover letters. With the help of The Old
Ezra Finance Club, I obtained the summer internship I wanted at American
Express."
