Why We Love Ithaca

I am always surprised at how Ithaca feels a bit like a "small town," despite the number of people living here.  We are constantly running into people from JV at the grocery store, the YMCA, the Sciencenter, and the mall.  It's fun to have friends popping up all the time!
~Rachel Wilde

I love Ithaca because I can buy fresh apples within a mile from my
townhouse and because the farmer's market is closeby.
~Caren Kang

The sunrises and sunsets in Ithaca are marvelous.
~Molly McNelley

A beautiful town that will inspire you to get out and enjoy all it
has to offer, even in the winter!
~Amy Naim

Every time you turn around in Ithaca, there's a waterfall.
~Julie Howell
I was surprised by the winter weather. I miss being able to go hiking and running outdoors especially on the trails at the numerous gorges during the winter BUT it did provide an opportunity to look for something new to try-so I joined the Frozen Assets Hockey Team.
~Molly McNelley

It's a hiker's wonderland!
~Julie Howell

The best thing about living in Ithaca is the beautiful natural setting. Ithaca truly is gorgeous and there are so many ways to enjoy nature year-round. My two favorite activities are hiking Buttermilk Falls and
walking through Sapsucker Woods...beautiful!
~Tammy Ireta
I love Ithaca for the Farmer's Market's, Macro Mama's meals (at the Farmer's Markets) and for the endless gorges and places to explore.
~Kate Pajonas
The fall was wonderful!  After having lived on the west coast all my life, the east coast fall was a wonderful surprise!
~Rachel Wilde
It definitely grows on you...in a positive way.
~Karen Boushelle
This has been a once in a lifetime opportunity and a wonderful experience to share with my husband. The new friendships I have formed are incredible.
~Beth Rinsky
I love all the friendly people and interesting ways to spend the day (museums, galleries, restaurants, wine tasting, shopping). I really enjoy so many things about Ithaca especially how beautiful it is here.
~Molly McNelley
All of the people we have met here at b-school are wonderful. There is such a great support network. We have made many life-long friends!
~Mandy Kellogg
The natural beauty of the area was a great surprise.
~Julie Howell
I love Ithaca for the natural environment, friendly people and endless activities in which to participate! It's an ideal community!
~Kristen Renehan
Ithaca is really scenic, and very child friendly.
~Karen Boushelle
A great place for families!
~Mandy Kellogg

Why I love Ithaca? I love that it's a small enough community that you run into your friends EVERYWHERE!
~Rachel Wilde
As a Mom, I was skeptical about moving to Ithaca, but now I love it. Ithaca is a great place to raise young kids! Robert Treman State Park, Taughannock Falls, Buttermilk Falls, and
Cascadilla Gorge are a must see!
~Mandy Kellogg
