How to Join
1 - Fill out a membership form.
2 - Pay dues for the 2008-2009 school year. Per couple: $90 for 2 years, $50 for one year.
Make checks payable to Joint Ventures and place check and membership form in a labeled and sealed envelope.
3 - Put in Ben Shirley’s mailbox at Sage (attn: Allison Shirley)
Most of the membership dues go to paying for our large social events: Welcome Party, Thanksgiving Dinner, Holiday Party, Winter Welcome Back Event, and International Events.
What the Club Offers
Joint Ventures sponsors a variety of regular activities designed to help members get to know each other and the Ithaca area.
Special interest groups, such as book club and dinner nights.
Informal get-togethers for spouses and significant others, which are held at members’ homes or various restaurants.
Family oriented events, like trips to the zoo, parks, museums, farms, etc.
A weekly playgroup for infants and toddlers and their moms and/or dads. Playgroups are held at area parks, members’ homes, and other child-friendly establishments like the Ithaca Sciencenter.
A variety of outdoor activities such as hiking, skiing, and tubing.
Large social events each semester, including a welcome party, Thanksgiving dinner, holiday party, winter welcome back event, and international events.
